FEATURES & BENEFITS

The ‘311’ Story

The words journal and journey bare the same roots.

My name is Shayne Hood. I am a dad, youth work & social work consultant, photographer and filmmaker. As a young person and adult I endured a life of depression, anxiety and panic disorder. I grew up in a 'dysfunctional family' in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. Isolated from mainstream connection I was a young person immersed in a culture of violence, drug addiction, crime and hardship.

I have done ‘the work’ and continue to do ‘the work’ to craft a ‘drama free’ life of resilience, purpose and gratitude. I did it the real way. No cheesy self-help agenda. Just raw, real and practical

Today, I am passionate about validating the lived hardship of others whilst unlocking the intrinsic motivation needed to get through the tough times.

The 311 Journal’s motivation and the purpose is simple. To create a set of life-changing actions geared towards healing wounds, building strength and gaining wisdom.

Creating positive identity without complexity.
